Sign Assembly – Punch & Shear Operator

Newman Signs, Inc. is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Shear Operator to join our production team. In this role, you will operate our AccurShear (AccurPress) shear to accurately and efficiently cut metal materials according to job specifications and production requirements. Responsibilities include reading and interpreting cutting specifications, maintaining high quality standards to ensure clean and precise cuts, performing routine equipment inspections and basic maintenance. Previous manufacturing or fabrication experience is beneficial, but we are willing to train the right individual who has strong measurement skills, attention to detail, and a positive team-first attitude. Key Responsibilities

  • Read and understand job specs and cutting requirements.
  • Maintain quality standards and ensure clean, precise cuts.
  • Work closely with the production team to keep jobs flowing smoothly.
  • Perform routine equipment checks and basic maintenance.

We Are Looking For:

  • Previous manufacturing or fabrication experience is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work with measurements.
  • Dependable, self-motivated, and team-oriented.
  • Willingness to learn and follow safety procedures.

Hours of Work

  • 4-day workweek, Monday - Thursday, 5:00am to 3:30pm.
  • No travel required
